My Approach

Through an individualized and neuroaffirming approach, I am here to help you uncover and process your thoughts, feelings, and emotions. I use mindfulness based Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, along with tools and techniques (including art therapy) to help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself and what you really need in life.

Some areas I specialize in supporting are chronic health, body image, identity, self-esteem, boundaries, and feelings of overwhelm or burnout.

Often, but not always, chronic health issues overlap with neurodivergence, as well as additional co-occurring medical or mental health challenges, which can add layers to that complexity. I can provide a space for you to untangle that complexity and find your pathway forward, based on your unique needs.

The right therapy experience can help you grow to know yourself more deeply, and care for yourself with more compassion. It matters to me that you feel seen, heard, and understood, and it would be a privilege to connect with you. Don't hesitate to reach out!

Therapeutic Modalities I work in:

  • ACT (Acceptance & Commitment Therapy)

  • Therapeutic & Expressive Art

  • Attachment-based

  • Strengths-Based Therapy

  • Person-Centred Therapy

  • Existential

Art Therapy

Art therapy is especially beneficial to explore and process thoughts, feelings, and emotions. The art making experience can help us make sense of things in a way we sometimes can't reach with conversation. My philosophy is process over product - the journey is the destination.

Art therapy can help with things like:

  • Emotions - help identifying, processing, and feeling emotions;

  • Emotional regulation

  • Finding clarity from confusing thoughts

  • Identity and self-esteem

  • Boundaries - establishing and maintaining

  • Feelings of overwhelm or burnout

What would a session with therapeutic art be like?

Art therapy is an optional aspect of my therapeutic practice, and it's customized for each client. If it supports you, sessions can include:

  • Short or long art activities

  • Art can be gently guided (eg: focusing on emotion, experience, or theme like relationships or identity)

  • Choice of art mediums

  • No art experience required!
